Privacy Policy
Effective October 29, 2026
Lookyr (lookyr.com) publishes interior moodboards made only of real products you can buy. This policy explains what we collect when you visit lookyr.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is short because we collect very little.
- No accounts, sign-ups or forms.
- lookyr.com sets no cookies of its own. We use the Pinterest Tag to measure visits from Pinterest, and you can turn it off.
- Our analytics never store your IP address, only a salted one-way hash of it.
- Product links are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission.
- We don't sell your personal information.
Information we collect
When you open a page or click a product link, our server records:
- the page or product link you opened, and the time;
- the referring page, for example the Pinterest Pin you came from;
- your browser's user agent string, which describes the browser and device type;
- your approximate country, derived from your IP address at the time of the request;
- a salted one-way hash of your IP address, used to count unique visitors and filter out bots. The IP address itself is not stored in our analytics.
We don't ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, payment details or precise location.
How we use it
- To count page views and product link clicks for each moodboard and Pin.
- To understand which moodboards are useful, so we can make better ones.
- To detect automated traffic and keep the site secure.
We don't build advertising profiles and don't use this information to identify you.
Technical server logs
Like most websites, the services that deliver lookyr.com, Cloudflare and our server, keep standard technical logs, which include the IP address, time and user agent of each request. These logs are used only for security and troubleshooting, are not used for analytics, and are automatically overwritten as new traffic comes in.
Cookies and the Pinterest Tag
lookyr.com doesn't set cookies of its own. Cloudflare, which delivers our site, may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people from bots. Our pages also load the Pinterest Tag, a script provided by Pinterest. It may set cookies and collect information such as the pages you visit on lookyr.com, your IP address, and your browser and device details. If you have a Pinterest account, Pinterest may connect this activity to it.
We use the Pinterest Tag to understand how people who find us on Pinterest use our site, and to measure and improve our Pins and ads on Pinterest. We don't send Pinterest your email address or other contact details. Pinterest handles this information under its Privacy Policy. You can turn the Pinterest Tag off as described in Your choices and rights.
Retailer websites may set their own cookies after you leave lookyr.com, as described below.
Affiliate links
Product links on Lookyr are affiliate links. Product information and links are provided by Channel3. When you click a product link, we record the click as described above and redirect you to the retailer through an affiliate tracking link. The retailer and its affiliate partners may use cookies or similar technologies to credit a purchase to Lookyr. If you buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those websites are governed by their own privacy policies.
We use the Pinterest API only to manage our own Pinterest account: to publish Pins of our moodboards to our boards and to read performance statistics for our own Pins, such as impressions, saves, Pin clicks and outbound clicks.
We don't access, collect or store personal information about other Pinterest users. Pinterest access tokens are kept securely on our server and used only for these purposes. We don't sell or share Pinterest data or use it for advertising. When you use Pinterest itself, Pinterest's Privacy Policy applies.
Services that load content on our pages
To display our pages, your browser connects to a few services that receive your IP address as part of normal web traffic:
- Pinterest (s.pinimg.com and ct.pinterest.com) for the Pinterest Tag, unless you have turned it off;
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) for web fonts;
- Channel3's image CDN (cdn.trychannel3.com) for product images;
- Cloudflare, which delivers our site and protects it from abuse;
- Hetzner, our hosting provider, which serves the site from Finland.
Data retention
Visit and click records are kept for up to 12 months. After that they are deleted or combined into totals that can't be linked to a visitor. Aggregated statistics, such as total clicks per moodboard, may be kept longer.
Sharing
We don't sell personal information. Information collected by the Pinterest Tag may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law and similar laws in other states, and you can opt out of it at any time as described below. We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the security of the site.
Your choices and rights
You can turn off the Pinterest Tag on lookyr.com. We don't load it when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, and you can also opt out on this device with the button below. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage and applies from the next page you open. You can also manage ad personalization in your Pinterest account settings.
Because our analytics don't store names, email addresses or IP addresses, we usually can't link records to a specific person. If you have a question or want us to delete data about you, contact us and we will do our best to help. Depending on where you live, for example in California, you may have the right to access or delete personal information, and we will honor applicable requests.
Children
Lookyr is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date at the top.
